Advisor Development Workshop

The Advisor Development workshop is a one-day training session designed to give Chapter Advisors an opportunity to learn more about the fraternity from another perspective as well as to begin forming connections with other advisors and Alpha Phi Omega staff. Participants will be introduced to staff and enter into a dialogue that discusses the role of staff and advisors and how those roles overlap and are distinguished. Advisors will have the opportunity to discuss issues with their peers and colleagues and see how things function in other university settings. Topics include: history and highlights of Alpha Phi Omega; structure, policies, and guidelines of Alpha Phi Omega; chapter operations and chapter advisors; Alpha Phi Omega Risk Management Policy; working with educational institutions; working with students; and student/advisor expectations.   (from the Advisor Development Workshop)
