Launch

A workshop which discusses the theory of leadership (specifically service leadership) and provides a common framework and terminology for the subsequent workshops in the APO LEADS series.

This 3-hour introductory leadership session is the launching point in the personal odyssey of leadership development and is a prerequisite session for the other APO LEADS courses. LAUNCH has participants examine:

What is leadership and what are the difference between leadership and management skills?
What are characteristics of a good leader
How we provide leadership through the Servant Leader and Chapter models
Organizational support of leadership
Effective communication and conflict resolution
Dealing with change
Goal setting using the SMARTER model
